ByteCards is designed to work entirely on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Nothing. ByteCards doesn't require an account, doesn't send your decks, review history, or progress to any server, and doesn't use analytics, trackers, or advertising SDKs.
Decks, review history, coins, and streaks are stored locally in a SQLite database on your device. Importing a CSV or Anki export happens entirely on-device — the file never leaves your phone or computer.
• No account or sign-in • No cloud sync • No analytics or crash reporting that identifies you • No ads or ad tracking • No selling or sharing of data — none is collected in the first place
ByteCards is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those platforms may collect certain information themselves (e.g. download and crash data) under their own privacy policies, which are separate from this one and outside our control.
ByteCards does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 — because it does not collect personal information from anyone.
Uninstalling the app removes its local database, including all decks, progress, and settings. There's nothing stored elsewhere to delete.
If ByteCards ever changes in a way that affects this (e.g. an optional cloud sync gets added later), this policy will be updated first, and the date above will change with it.
